Kaplan Aspect Brisbane can arrange the following types of accommodation for students:
IH Brisbane knows how important accommodation is to students. We want to ensure that all students are happy and comfortable in the accommodation of their choice. We have our own Accommodation Officer on staff and they are responsible for ensuring that all students are placed in accommodation as requested and booked.
Our Accommodation Officer can also help students with any questions they may have during their stay.
Homestay is a great way to learn more about Australia and the way of life here. Living with a family allows students to practice their English, learn more about the Australian way of life and have the support of a family while settling into life in Brisbane.
Kaplan Aspect carefully inspects and selects families who have a genuine interest in students. The families are caring and helpful. Our Accommodation Officer regularly inspects homes to ensure that the facilities and arrangements are of an excellent quality. Our host families live in the suburbs of Brisbane and travel time to IH from the homestay ranges between 20 and 40 minutes. Host families provide breakfast and dinner during the week and breakfast, lunch and dinner on the weekends. Students can select single or shared homestay and are free to select the length of time they wish to stay.
Kaplan Aspect has special orientation information for students going into homestay and this will help you settle into your accommodation. Our Accommodation Officer is there to assist students with any questions at any time.
Student Houses provide shared accommodation for students from Australia and overseas. They are very popular and Kaplan Aspect can book students into this type of accommodation if requested. Students have their own room or a shared room if requested. Facilities such as bathrooms, kitchens and lounge rooms are shared.
Meals can be provided or students can purchase and prepare their own meals.
Kaplan Aspect Brisbane has some excellent backpacker lodges located close to the school. The Backpacker lodges offer different standards of accommodation from single and shared rooms to dormitories. Students have to share facilities such as kitchens and bathrooms and some lodges have their own pools/bars and recreation facilities on site. Meals are not included but may be available for purchase on site or at cafes near by. Backpacker accommodation is best suited to short term stays but longer term bookings can be made.
There are a range of serviced apartments in Brisbane which Kaplan Aspect can book for students. The apartments can be one, two or three bedroom. All apartments are self contained providing kitchens, lounges, laundries and bathroom/s. Cleaning services can be booked as required – daily or weekly servicing is usually offered.
Students choosing the apartment option must provide and cook their own meals.
Students may choose to stay in a hotel on arrival in Brisbane – Kaplan Aspect is happy to make a booking at a hotel if requested. Most hotels provide single or shared rooms with private bathrooms. There are usually no cooking facilities in the hotel rooms but students can purchase meals at the hotel restaurants and use all hotel facilities during their stay.
